At first I felt a little bit reserved because they wanted to do part of their Engagement Session at the Oakwood Cemetery but when we got started, the light was beautiful and everything was so amazing. They had their first Date at the Oakwood Cemetery, well their first OFFICIAL date. ;-) We then traveled to Troy NY to get some shots right in the downtown district. It was laughs and giggles all day, I couldn't ask for a happier couple!

The day couldn't have been more full of activity than this wedding, people were all excited to see the Bride in her full get up before the ceremony. We were trying to get people away from the hotel door all morning while taking tons of Getting Ready Photos and details. When it came to the first look,  Sean was excited, he couldn't wait to see her, in her dress, all made up. Nichole couldn't wait to see him, his beaming smile and his infectious laugh. They loved each other for years already, you could tell by the way the joked with each other, by the way they laughed with and at each other, and by the way they both go into full damage control mode when things didn't seem to go as expected. They can do anything together, I know this for a fact, because I've seen these two go to it. Check out the day with them!

Angela and Steve are getting Married soon! These two are super easy going and they play off each other so adorably. Him with his witty and charming charisma and her with her sweet and down to earth nature, we had so much fun. We went through a stroll through the park and to the State Capitol Park and they just couldn't keep their hands to themselves! They were attempting to dip, So it was only natural for me to teach them a proper dip from my Ballroom Dancing Days, Check out how they did!

If anyone knows me, they would know that I love a good adventure. I got to shoot an Engagement for Sofia and Brad in NYC! Although it isn't quite an adventure for me since its somewhere I'm familiar with, it was an adventure filled with lots of laughs, lots of flirting and lots of walking. Neither I or Sofia and Brad are unfamiliar with NYC so I wanted to create photos that captures their personalities, their relationship with each other, and the place where they live and love. Same-Sex marriage is no different, in fact, its just a Marriage. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, lets talk about new traditions that are coming into light now that everyone wants to have their own wedding. 

The Wedding day goes by real fast. If you haven't already heard this, you will eventually hear this for the 11th-teenth time, yes I know that isn't an actual word but you get the point.

There is a ton of truth to this and thinking about your wedding day timeline is as important as picking out your venue and picking out your photographer! I will take you through a typical Wedding Day Timeline with Jay Zhang Photography to help the newly engaged couples plan out their day with their photographer. 

When it came time to do engagement photos of just them, I could tell that they have so much fun with each other all the time. No matter how rough the days go, I can tell that at some point, someones going to make a silly face so silly, that it'll make the other laugh at how ridiculous it is. The early morning was one of those stay at home days, where you could read a book and drink a cup of coffee, but It wasn't just any one of those days. This day was Their wedding day, The lighting was beautiful even if the weather was anything but stellar, but that is why you hire the Professionals to take care of you through it. 

A LOOOONG Time ago, My friends Winnie + Andrew asked me to do a small elopement session with them, so we did! This has been a blog worthy blog for a LOOONG time and I've waited forever to show you how cute these are.

These two have know each other for so long, and they decided that it was time to formalize their commitment amongst friends and family. The ceremony was intimate, and small, but the impact and the honor I felt documenting their day was beyond measure. Congratulations to the newly wed and to continuing their journey together. 

It's wedding season! And what a great wedding to kick off the wedding season!  Kate and Joe first approached me to document their day and I felt more than honored to show them how great their story was, quirky, classy, funny, and full of love, these two were meant to be together. These photos just tell the story.

Tami + Jamie came to me to do their wedding, and we became friends almost instantly. We talked about what they liked and the things they do together over dinner at the Illium Cafe and they were so cute. They were just as cute during their engagement session and I can't wait until their wedding day! We went over to Indian Meadows Park over in Glenville in their neck of the woods and there were many trails and it was just the most perfect of days! Check it out here!

When Kate and Joseph approached me to capture their big day, I was more than estatic, and she wanted to get some photos while the snow was on the ground for her engagements. Perfect timing! With a busy schedule, it wasn't easy to find time, but when we did, it was perfect timing. Check out my favorites from their engagement as they showed me their more intimate side to them.

I was thrilled to be a part of such a grand event as Richard and Scott's Wedding on the MSC Divinia. There was great music playing selected by Rich and Scott and Re-composed and scored by the MSC Entertainment team. It honestly was a great job.
